Growth in Being

Brief Overview Motivation is what gets us to do certain behavior and actions. The  Self-Determination Theory (SDT)  focuses on the inherent human tendency we have to move towards growth. We are driven by three innate needs: → Competence      ∟the need to have skills and abilities and know how to use them effectively → Autonomy      ∟the need to control the course of one's life (free-will; personal agency) → Relatedness      ∟the need to build  relationships and connections Character Development There was no reward or external gain from this journey for Armand Roulin.
